Avon and Somerset Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision in the Chew Magna area.
The incident happened at 8.50 a.m. on B3130 between Stanton Drew and Chew Magna on Friday, 4th August.
A Mini Cooper was travelling from Chew Magna towards Stanton Drew when it appears to have crossed the carriageway and was in collision with a Citroen Berlingo van travelling in the opposite direction.
Significant damage was caused to the Mini in the incident and the driver sadly died at the scene.
The driver of the Citroen sustained chest and rib injuries which were not life-threatening or life-changing.
The police are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident who may have information to help with their enquiries.
