On Tuesday, 24th October, volunteers met at Glebelands, Westfield, to plant nine hundred spring bulbs.
The joint project, organised by B&NES and Westfield Parish Council has been in the pipeline since the end of 2022, following suggestions from a local resident, and has now been completed.
Camassias and a variety of different daffodil bulbs were planted and will produce splashes of colour throughout the Spring months.
Chair of Westfield Parish Council, Phil Wilkinson, said, “it was great to see a group of local people come together for the bulb planting, which will brighten the streets of Westfield. A big thank you from us at the Parish Council for contributing your time”.
Paul Pearce, Team Leader Parks Projects at B&NES said, “It was really nice to work in partnership with the Parish Council and local residents. Thanks to everyone for giving their time”.
