Robert Warner, who took part in the D-Day landings, lived independently in his home in North Harrow. He was brought to Beechcroft Residential Home in Midsomer Norton on 10th March this year and was booked in for two weeks in order for local relatives to pop in to visit him, saving long journeys.

Well, he’s still there, due to the coronavirus pandemic and now in lockdown, so his family can only have window visits – as seen here. He was 101 years old last Friday, 20th November. He looks very happy, is being very well looked after – but misses hugs.
