40 For The Federation! is a fundraising walk to raise funds for Croscombe CofE and Stoke St Michael Primary Federation and Little Roots Pre-School at Stoke St Michael.

We are inviting people to complete, on foot, a course of marathon length – 42km/26m. There is an entrance fee and participants are being asked to raise sponsorship money for the cause.

The ‘40 For The Federation!’ event is on Saturday, 25th September 2021 and the course will be through some of the beautiful Mendip Hills, starting and finishing at Stoke St Michael Primary School. There will a series of check points through which those taking part must pass and where they will have the opportunity to take on water, fruit and energy foods. First Aid posts will also be found along the route.

In addition to the ‘live’ event, we are also offering a virtual ‘40 For The Federation!’ event. Entrants will have from 1st September 2021 – 26th September 2021 to complete on foot the full 26 miles and to then upload their evidence of having completed the distance. Once again there will be an entrance fee and a minimum fundraising target.

The entrance fee is £10 and we are asking for a minimum of £30 sponsorship from each participant (£40 in total so 40 for the Federation!), with a prize awarded to the person who raises the most money in both the virtual and the live event.

The Live event is limited to fifty participants and over-18s only, and there are still a limited number of places available. The closing date for entrants for both the Live and the Virtual events is 25th August 2021.
