Avon and Somerset Police have arrested a 25-year-old man in connection with a stabbing incident in Peasedown St John at the weekend.

A 52-year-old man was stabbed in an alleyway between Sunnyside View and Bath Road at about 11.35 p.m. on Saturday (23 September).

He was taken to hospital for treatment but his injuries are not life-threatening or life-changing.

A man has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and remains in custody.

Avon and Somerset Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed this incident, or who saw or heard anything suspicious in the Bath Road or Sunnyside View area on Saturday night, to call 101. Please give the call handler the reference number 5217217864.
