Last week, pupils from Peasedown St John Primary School took park in a litter pick using equipment donated from the Parish Council.

Our local PCSOs, Tony and Louise, were impressed with the motivation and dedication of the children, and they said: “The Mini Police were very enthusiastic in collecting lots of litter from the nearby estate and surrounding footpaths.”

The children were keen to prioritise the clean-up of the community and want to spend more of their time protecting their local environment.

They also learnt about growing their own vegetables and were given a “Grow your own runner bean kit” as an introduction to home grown food.
