Due to Covid-19, the usual venues for the annual arts trail were closed – the answer – go online! And that is exactly what over thirty artists and creators from the local area did.
The website proved a hit. There were so many things to do, apart from admire, and purchase, artwork from over thirty creators. Artists provided mini demonstrations where you could learn how to make your own earrings, make your own botanical print from flowers and leaves, or create a mini painted heart.
There were tours around studios and interviews with artists; as well as many videos created by the exhibitors showing their techniques during the creation of their artworks and displaying the finished articles. What was not to enjoy?
The South West has a reputation for being a creative hub, and the range and quality of the works on display confirms this.
Group Chair, Karen George, said: “A massive thank you to everyone that supported our first ever Virtual Arts Trail. It was certainly a different experience to our live face-to-face event.
We would like to thank all the artists who shared their work. Their effort to make this virtual event a success certainly paid off.”
Stop Press: The group has decided to keep the webpage open for the rest of November due to the second lockdown, visit: www.camvalleyartstrail.co.uk/2020-arts-trail.html
