CHEW Valley pupil Ashley-Marie Burke has designed this year’s Chew Valley 10k 2023 T shirt design and medal.

The scenic 10km race takes place on Sunday 11th June at 9.30am starting at Bishop Sutton Village Hall.

Each year the Chew Valley 10k offers pupils a chance to work on a real-life design project and the committee were very impressed with Ashley-Marie’s bold and colourful designs which worked well with the sponsors’ logos.

Both main sponsors were delighted to meet Ashley-Marie and see this year’s design. Justin Taylor of Winford Ford said: “It is wonderful to be involved in the Chew Valley 10k again this year and we are delighted to be joint main sponsor with Truespeed.

“Ashley-Marie should be very proud of herself – I look forward to seeing lots of people wearing the t-shirts throughout the year!”

Matthew Gerrard of Truespeed added: “It is fantastic to have this opportunity for Chew Valley School to get involved in this design project – Truespeed are thrilled to be supporting the Chew Valley 10k as joint main sponsor and we are really looking forward to taking part on 11th June!”

The popular race is already up to 400 entrants so runners need to get their skates on to secure a place. To ensure you get to wear the new 2023 Chew Valley 10k T shirt, entries need to be in by 11pm on Sunday 7 May. This is the entry deadline for the option of a free technical T shirt.

The committee is keen to hear from anyone interested in being a 10k marshal – a really fun, low key volunteer whose role is mainly to cheer loudly as all the runners whizz past. Please contact the organisers via [email protected] to find out more.

Every year has been a sell-out for this popular, scenic race. For more information check the website www.chewvalley10k.co.uk or follow the event on social media.
