A local lady who first tasted goats’ milk more than 65 years ago has now been chosen to appear on over a million fresh goats’ milk cartons in supermarkets across the country.
Yorkshire–based St Helen’s Farm have selected 83-year-old Janet Hotter from Radstock as the latest carton star for their goats’ milk, after she wrote to the dairy to tell them how much she enjoyed their products. Janet has been buying St Helen’s Farm products for many years, but her first taste of goats’ milk was back in 1952.
Janet said: “I drink goats’ milk because I like the creamy taste, but I also find that it seems to help with my eczema. I wrote to the farm a while ago, and they were delighted with my story, and said they would like to feature it on a million packs of their milk!”
St Helen’s Farm, based in Seaton Ross in the Vale of York, has been showcasing customer pictures and stories on its milk cartons for many years, and each story features for around four to six weeks.
