Bath and North East Somerset's motorists will have five road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And one of them is expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

A36, from 6.10pm December 20 2022 to 6am January 14 2023, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A36 Brassknocker Hill emergency 24/7 traffic signals for retaining wall repair.

A36, from midnight, December 19 2022 to 11pm November 23 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 Bath to Warminster used by GWR Railway Replacement Buses on Bristol Temple Meads - Frome route.

And a further three closures will begin over the next seven days:

A36, from 9pm January 16 to 4am January 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 Limpley Stoke traffic signals for drainage works.

A36, from 8am January 19 to 6pm January 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 both directions Claverton. Multi-way signals for Truespeed works.

A36, from 9pm January 23 to 12.30am January 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 both directions Warminster Road near, junction Hantone Hill 2-way signals for cycle sensor installation by DFT Road Statistics Division.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
