B&NES 3SG, a registered charity and founding member of the West of England Civil Society Partnership work closely with the local Council and volunteer services in B&NES.

B&NES 3SG, as a Compassionate Community, are offering support to community groups and charities as they work to help elderly and vulnerable people through this pandemic.

They explain: “Compassionate Community is a grassroots social movement which recognises there are people and organisations supporting each other, who

care, and are available and can step in as and when needed, with actual or virtual support.”

With over 1,700 Compassionate Community Connectors now signed up across B&NES, the organisation is looking to have a representative on each residential street with volunteers there to help neighbours.

If you would like to help, you can register as a Compassionate Community Connector via: http://ow.ly/c9o330qsfmx

They are now working on putting together a phone line so that volunteers can stay connected and are matched with the needs of people in their community. To get in contact with the charity, email: [email protected] or phone: 07816 910572.
