Westfield Ward Councillor, Eleanor Jackson (Labour) has this week presented a book of condolence for the family of Jo Cox MP for local residents who wish to pay their respects.
Addressing Radstock’s Town Council meeting this week, Cllr Jackson spoke of the country’s shock at her murder and said she had attended a moving cross-party vigil which was held at Bath Abbey last week for the MP.
The dedication reads: ‘We, the undersigned residents of Bath and North East Somerset, wish to express our heartfelt condolences to the family of the late Jo Cox MP and the people of Butley and Spen constituency whom she represented so valiantly.’
A minute’s silence was also held at the beginning of the Town Council meeting. The book will be at Radstock Methodist Church for residents to sign until 4th July.
