A new petrol station-style garage for electric vehicles could soon be built at Bristol Airport.
A letter to North Somerset Council from Bristol Airport stated: “The proposal is for a sheltered EV forecourt, similar to that of a petrol filling station, but for electric vehicles.” It will include 18 ultra-rapid charging points able to charge a vehicle in 10-15 minutes and a small shop and food and drink area.
Bristol Airport has not submitted a planning application, but a notification to the council that they intend to progress the development under its permitted development rights.
