Well done to everyone who guessed the Mystery Photograph from last week. We thought it would be harder, but you still did well!
Well done to: Pete Rutter, John Lakey, Karen Thayer, Jeff Parsons, Ivor Davis, Carol Curtis, Richard Weston and Paul Maggs, who were all correct with their answer of Monkton Combe.
Reader, Jeff Parsons, says: “I think you are in Monkton Combe, probably pre-1924 as the Monkton Combe School Memorial Chapel is not shown. My grandfather, Walter Parsons, worked on this building when it was being built.
“The A36 Warminster Road is in the background, with the viaduct across the valley.”
Think you can identify this week’s photograph? Answer in next week’s Journal.
Email: [email protected] with your answer, and even a photograph of what the scene looks like today, or send it to us via Facebook: @MNRJournal.
Editor: Thanks to Bath Record Office and Radstock Museum, we are hoping to continue weekly with these photographs. However, if any readers have any to share, please do get in touch. Thanks for those we have received already!
