We are being kind to you with another easy(ish) photograph this week – do you recognise this place? We’ll be looking for something more difficult next week!
Well done to everyone who got in touch with us last week – we were, of course, in Radstock. Thanks to Terry Reakes who recalls: “The mystery photo is The Street, Radstock, prominently showing what was the old Westminster Bank, now Apollo Technology, next to which is Clements dispensing Chemists. Over what was a door on the side of Apollo, there is a reference to Clements, ‘London Drug Stores’. They must have moved next door for whatever reason. This photo, as you say, is easy, but of interest, as it shows the longevity of a pharmacy in Radstock, even though it has had different owners. Long may it continue remaining in Radstock as an essential public service.
Well done to Simon and Norman Chard, Winston Eyles, Karen Thayer, Beryl Rhymer, Steve Horler, Neil Gillard, Inchy Howard and Gavin Kerton, Vivienne Edwards, Paul Hancock, Terry Reakes, Gilmour Jones, Rodney Gullick, John Seal, Jeff Parsons, Les Box, Hannah Selway, Graham Honeybun, Graham Sage, Terry and Caroline Wynne MBE, Ivor Davis, Angie Madison, Martin Horler, Ken Cottle, Elaine Bowen, Lucy Sidwick, Ruth Horler, Catherine Josham, Carolyn Phillips, Roger Memory, Martina Mitchard, Rod Hisug-Bridges, Shirley Steel BEM, Judith Stanford, Janet Gilham, @JurgenTheYorkie on Twitter and anyone else we may have missed for getting the correct answer!
