Churches in Peasedown St John and Wellow will be hosting a range of Christmas services this coming festive season.

Between them, Christingle services, Carols by Candlelight, Children’s Christmas Services and Midnight Communion will take place in the two villages – with a difference!

Leader of both Churches, Revd Matthew Street, said: “We would love to see you at one of our Christmas services at either of our Churches; St. John’s Church Peasedown or St. Julian’s Church Wellow.

“But, due to the restrictions around large gatherings and the need to socially distance, anyone who would like to attend will need to book a seat at each service online, in advance.”

Peasedown St John and Wellow, along with the rest of Bath and North East Somerset, is in Tier 2. This means that places of worship are open, but you cannot interact with anyone outside your household or support bubble. Plus, parishioners must use hand sanitiser when they arrive and leave, wear a face covering and stay socially distant from others inside the building.

• Sunday 20th, St Julian’s Wellow, Carols by Candlelight, 6.30 pm

• Thursday 24th, St Julian’s Wellow, Children’s Christmas Service, 3.30 pm

• Thursday 24th, St Julian’s Wellow, Children’s Christmas Service, 4.30 pm

• Thursday 24th, St John’s Peasedown, Midnight Communion,

11.30 pm

• Friday 25th, St Julian’s Wellow, Christmas Day Celebration, 9.30 am

• Friday 25th, St John’s Peasedown, Christmas Day Celebration, 10.30 am
