Four new retailers for the old Charlton’s development on Frome Road, Radstock, have been named.

Subway, Nature’s Vet, Snap Fitness and DIY specialist, Proper Job are thought to be moving in to the new centre, with one 2,687 sq ft unit remaining available.

The site will also have 39 parking spaces.

Contractors began work on the redevelopment at the end of November, with handover to the new retailers planned for 1st April 2018.

Bristol-based Williams Gunter Hardwick has been marketing the development for site owner and former occupier, AJ Charlton & Sons Ltd, in conjunction with development manager, Box Property Group.

Stuart Williams, director of Williams Gunter Hardwick, said: “This is a great start for the scheme, but it’s not totally surprising. Radstock is a busy town, but not that well served with shops and parking. Its town centre, combined with the adjoining town of Midsomer Norton, serves a population of around 11,000, and the new development is in a prominent location fronting the busy Frome Road – adjacent to the town centre and opposite a new housing development.”
