Congratulations to former Radstock Co-operative Society staff member, Chris Warren, who signed up to run the Bath Half Marathon on behalf of one of the member elected charities, the Radstock Carers’ Centre.
Chris was employed as a Management Accounts Assistant in Radstock Society’s Head Office until very recently, when he left to pursue a career with a firm of accountants.
Vicki Przytocki, Head of HR and Communications says: “Chris enjoys an active, sporty life and regularly plays hockey and cricket. When the Carers’ Centre wrote to us seeking volunteers to run in the Half Marathon, Chris quickly declared an interest.
“Chris and three of his friends ran the Half Marathon, raising approximately £500. Their times were, Pete 1:41:31, Chris 1:44:43, Rich 2:04:14 and Dan 2:07:58.”
Chris said: “We would all like to thank the Carers’ Centre for the support we
received on the day. It was a great experience, with the Battle of the Bands and
support the whole city offered. It was a good running day and was great to be
involved in the last Bath Half on the current course before it changes next year.”
The Society wishes Chris well in his new role and thanks him and his friends for raising money for this deserving cause.
