After a year’s enforced break, crowds enthusiastically gathered on 4th December to sample the delights of the Chew Magna Christmas Fayre, thanks to the organisation of committee members.
Mike Gough, compere for the event, told The Chew Valley Gazette: “I have been a member of the committee and commentated at the
ceremonies for seventeen years now – we centre everything we do around the village, but it takes a lot of organising.
“We have Liz Rose to thank for this, as she is basically the Mother of Christmas. She puts her heart and soul into this fayre.”

important event for everyone in the village. The committee is a social aspect of village life, it brings everyone together.
“We are very grateful to everyone who has supported the fayre this year, it is so lovely to partner up with the school so the children can come and be involved in the fayre, too.
“We are so lucky to have such wonderful trades in the village and feel so privileged to be working with them.”
