Are you celebrating Christmas this year?

There are many who find it hard – through bereavement, lack of family, of home, resources and much more. Why not come along to one of the events at Midsomer Norton Methodist Centre in the High Street, where you will find a friendly welcome! See the Advert on the ‘Shall We Go Out’ page for details.

On Thursday, 19th December is the Carol Concert with the local Silver Band, supporting SWALLOW. Friday, 20th December is the Coffee Morning, with an Advent Service at 11.30 a.m. for half an hour. On Sunday morning (22nd December), Rev. Ian Souter leads the 10.30 a.m. service and the carol service at 6 p.m. (do come early!).

So, what is the Birth of Christ to us? A Hymn writer puts it like this: “See the eternal Son of God, a mortal son of man, dwelling in an earthly clod whom heaven cannot contain! Stand amazed, ye heavens, at this! See the Lord of earth and skies; Humbled in the dust he is, and in a manger lies.”
