The community cinema returns with three films next weekend.

First up on Friday, 10th August at 7.30 p.m. is Ocean’s 8. In this action comedy, Debbie Ocean gathers an all-female crew to attempt an impossible heist – the target is a cool $150 million dollars in diamonds that will be around the neck of world-famous actress Daphne Kluger, who will be centrestage at the event of the year, the Met Gala.

There will then be two films screened on Saturday, 11th August. First up at 2.30 p.m., will be Disney Pixar’s highly anticipated Incredibles 2. Everyone’s favourite family of superheroes are back. As Helen takes the spotlight from Bob, it’s a tough transition for everyone, made tougher by the fact that the family is still unaware of baby Jack-Jack’s emerging superpowers. When a new villain hatches a brilliant and dangerous plot, the family and Frozone must find a way to work together again – which is easier said than done, even when they’re all Incredible.

The third and final film screening of the weekend will be Swimming With Men, starring Rob Brydon on Saturday, 11th August at 7.30 p.m. Faced with a full-blown mid-life crisis, accountant Eric (Rob Brydon) joins an all-male group of synchronised swimmers, discovering that making patterns in a pool can, for a couple of hours at least, smooth out the bumps in his work and marriage. Initially keeping their personal lives in the locker, the ramshackle squad and coach Susan (Charlotte Riley) slowly learn to reveal their inner lives, as well as their paunches. But can they get their lives and routines in sync as they embark on an unlikely journey to Milan to compete in the World Championship?

All films feature cinema-quality HD projection on the big screen, with full surround sound and comfy cinema seating. Refreshments are available at all screenings from the fully-licensed Sarah Ann Bar. Later in August, the Town Hall will be showing Hotel Transylvania 3 and two screenings of Mama Mia: Here We Go Again.

The new screenings have proven extremely popular – with many selling out – so booking in advance is recommended by heading to: www.midsomernortoncommunitytrust.co.uk/cinema.

Any remaining tickets will be available on the door.
