Residents in Clutton are being invited to a public event to give their views on how the village should develop over the next few years.
The Clutton Neighbourhood Plan Open Day, which is being held in the village hall on January 11th between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., will give local people the chance to help shape official planning policy for their Parish.
The event has been organised by the Clutton Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group, which includes representatives of local community organisations, businesses and villagers. The group has also distributed a questionnaire seeking residents' views on the use and development of land in the village.
Local people can go along and find out more about the Neighbourhood Plan, which would be used to determine planning applications, development of local amenities, the school, road safety measures, protection of popular open spaces and historic buildings and say what sort of village they want to see.

"By the end of the process, we will have a legally-binding planning document which would give us far greater power over any future development decisions affecting Clutton. Decision-makers would have to follow the plan when considering planning applications.
"So, please do come along to the open day, fill in the questionnaire and make sure that your views are heard."
