The Knit and Natter group at Paulton Baptist Church decided to get involved in an appeal for colourful blankets for the dementia ward at the RUH, Bath.
By the time we met in April, we had completed 22 beautiful multi-coloured blankets, ready to be delivered to Combe Ward. We then received an invitation from the Manager, Helen Slocombe, inviting us to join some of the patients and staff for afternoon tea. It is a very homely and caring environment with a garden, and our blankets will hopefully bring a ray of sunshine, even on a dull day. We enjoyed every minute.
The children have been busy through April with Messy Church twice a month. They enjoy learning through crafts, play, song and acting out the stories of the Bible. Finally, we all have tea together, young and old.
On the morning of 11th May, it was time for the men to enjoy another breakfast together, followed by an inspirational talk from Ted Morse, who attends Stockwood Baptist Church.

Knit and Natter continues to meet and create items that fit into shoeboxes, which we fill and send to Romania; also blankets for nursing homes, hats, scarves and gloves for the homeless.
