Celebrity comedian, Russell Howard will be taking part in the Bath Half 2015 on Sunday, 1st March for local charity, Time is Precious.

Time is Precious was set up in memory of five-year-old Ben Halford, who fought for 3 1/2 years with a brain tumour.

Ben was being treated in different hospitals, with his family spending a lot of time at various locations, often in isolation, due to Ben being neutrapenic.

His parents Neil and Nicky Halford, run the charity totally voluntary, with every penny raised going to purchasing equipment for children and their families, to make life easier whilst they are in hospital, along with a fantastic committee.

Time is Precious, supports Bath RUH Children's Ward, Booster Therapy Centre (PAT Centre), CLIC Team. Bristol Children's Hospital, including the previous Barbara Russell Ward in Frenchay, as a separate concern, and has most recently expanded to Yeovil Hospital.

The charity purchase equipment that is requested by staff - this could be specialised items such as Standing/ Walking Frames, Sensory equipment, funding a specific room i.e Parents' Room in Oncology, BCH, a brand new Therapy Room in BCH, primarily for children on the Neurological ward, to smaller items such as televisions, iPads, Games Consoles, Portable DVD players etc.

"We are extremely grateful to Russell Howard for choosing to run for Time is Precious", say Neil and Nicky.
