REMEMBRANCE services and parades took place across the local area as communities came together to honour those who lost their lives in conflict.
Events were held in Midsomer Norton, Paulton, Radstock and Saltford, where residents, veterans, and community groups gathered to pay their respects through parades, services, and wreath-laying ceremonies.
The annual Blessing of the Graves took place at Paulton Cemetery on Saturday, November 8. The service was organised by Anne Lyons, on behalf of Paulton Parish Council, together with Simon Memory of the British Legion.
Five graves were carefully dressed by the Scouts and Guides, with descendants from three of the families in attendance. The service was led by the Rev Adam Pitt, and the Last Post was poignantly played by Mike Sheppard.
In Midsomer Norton, the Remembrance Sunday parade began at 10.40am from West Clewes Recreation Ground, making its way through the High Street to the War Memorial.
A non-denominational service followed at 10.48am, including a two-minute silence and the laying of wreaths in tribute to the fallen.
In Paulton, the Remembrance Parade commenced at 2.30pm, leading to the War Memorial on the High Street, where a service was held to honour those who gave their lives in conflict.
