Residents in the Somer Valley will have another opportunity to have their say on how services are provided in their community at the Area Forum meeting on March 7th at 6pm.

There will also be presentations on the Radstock and Midsomer Norton High Street improvement schemes, Somer Valley Rediscovered and Active Travel Social Prescribing.

The West of England Combined Authority will attend to give an update on local transport. People can submit questions for the Combined Authority in advance by email to: [email protected]

Don Morris, the CEO of the Radstock Co-operative Society, will also present on their redevelopment project.

Lynda Robertson, Chair of the Somer Valley Area Forum, said: “A number of exciting projects and developments are taking place in the Somer Valley area and we are looking forward to hearing about these at our next meeting.  We warmly welcome anyone with an interest to join the event online and get involved.”

Councillor Kevin Guy, Leader of Bath & North East Somerset Council, said: “The area forums held across Bath and North East Somerset are an important way for everyone to share information across the area and address local issues. They are also a chance for you to have your say about the public services that affect you and your community. I’d encourage as many residents as possible to attend – we want to hear from you.”

Area Forums are open to all and bring together public services, local organisations and residents to improve local engagement, encourage people to talk to each other and share their skills and ideas.  There are five forums in Bath and North East Somerset which are supported by the council.

You can find more information and meeting dates for all the forums on the council website.
