On Monday, 13th November, the Andrews Midsomer Norton and District Carnival returned to Westfield and MSN, where it was met by large crowds, due in part to the driest weather the event had seen in years.

Hundreds gathered to watch a number of impressive floats, majorettes and masqueraders, as they travelled along Charlton Road, down Silver Street, up the High Street and onto Radstock Road.

Steve Collins, President of the Midsomer Norton and District Carnival Assosiciation, said: “It was nice to have a dry evening for a change! It was great to see Midsomer Norton alive with a spectacle of colour that the carnival brought to it.

“We are still counting the money that was raised, but it was a very successful evening, and we would like to thank Midsomer Norton Town Council for their continued support of the event, as well as everyone who came to watch on the night.”

Midsomer Norton Carnival is the largest community event, and one of the largest charity fundraisers in the Somer Valley.
