Dave Broadway, Chairman of Radstock-based CFH Docmail Ltd, has been named as one of 100 ‘Faces of A Vibrant Economy’ by Grant Thornton.

‘Faces of a Vibrant Economy’ celebrates leaders from across the public, private and third sectors, who exemplify what it takes to develop a vibrant economy.

Dave Broadway leads the UK’s largest provider of ‘hybrid mail’. CFH Docmail allows customers to send post from the comfort of their own home, via their computer or smartphone, saving time and money.

Sustainability is a key focus for the business. It has reduced energy use by 20% since launch. More than 10% of its energy is produced through solar roof space and the company sources its remaining energy from renewable providers.

CFH has planted more than 100,000 trees with the Woodland Trust through the Top Tree Initiative, which Dave founded. The company has also given away over 50,000 trees to customers at events and exhibitions.

Dave says the main motivation behind CFH is to combat climate change, and provide a seamless experience for the customer. When asked for his key piece of business advice, Dave instructs: “establish your own direct route to the market.”

This year, Grant Thornton has curated its second annual list of 100 Faces. From emerging entrepreneurs to big business names, the list of 100 Faces showcases individuals who are delivering against growth, innovation and social purpose.

Grant Thornton is a professional services firm. Over the last eighteen months, it has been investigating how to develop a vibrant economy in the UK – one which realises the shared potential of companies, cities, people and communities – an economy where businesses can do well, as well as do good.
