Mrs Frances Butt is retiring as a school Governor, and one time Chair of Governors, after twenty years’ service to the community of Writhlington.

She has brought to her role at St Mary’s a wealth of experience as a long standing head teacher and head teacher support councillor. Mrs Butt has always put childrens’ well-being and safety at the centre of her role, taking up the position of Safeguarding Governor in recent years.

St Mary’s recently joined The Partnership Trust Academy and supporting the school through this transition completed two decades of governance; knowing that the school is moving from strength to strength.

The Local Governing Body, staff and children will miss her but look forward to Mrs Butt joining them in future for all of their performances and celebrations.

Mrs Adamson is leaving teaching at the end of August to follow her dreams. She has been at St Mary’s, Writhlington for fifteen years, teaching in numerous year groups.

Most recently Mrs Adamson became maths and Key Stage 1 leader, supporting colleagues and children to be the best they can be.

St Mary’s are pleased that Mrs Adamson will keep in touch and be their regular supply teacher from the autumn term and wish her well in her other projects.
