One of Radstock Museum’s Volunteers, Jane Clark, secretly watched them one night, and has written their story; “A Magical Story”.

Jane will be launching her children’s storybook on Saturday, 16th July, 11am-4:30pm, in the Museum Shop and Tearoom where she will be signing copies.

Entry to the shop and tearoom is free with all children receiving a free drink of squash and a biscuit on the day. Proceeds from the book will go to Radstock Museum, charity no: 1151573.

Jane said: “I have been a volunteer at Radstock Museum for several years and really enjoy bringing history to life, during school visits.

“The inspiration for “A Magical Story” came from the fact that the children always want to know about the stuffed cat in the miner’s cottage. I also love drawing and painting and there are numerous drawings in the book.”

Radstock Museum’s Children’s Summer Trail is themed on “A Magical Story” and begins the same day running until September 4th..

Usual Museum ticket charges apply to enter to the Museum for the trail which is free for Museum visitors with a free prize on completion. www.radstockmuseum.co.uk
