John Philips, who sent the photograph in, said: “I can only guess that this is an outing to the coast, Weymouth or Weston?

“Once again there is no indication of date or occasion but judging by the bunting it may have been a celebration day.”

Thank you to every one for sending in their guesses, but a special well done goes to the following for guessing correctly:

Julie Frost, Ian Beeho, Maria Murray, Phil Bodman, George Williams, Sybil Parham.

Many thanks to Mrs Dell who thinks the lady on the right hand side of the photograph is her Grandmother, Rose Milson, from Westfield.

Thank you to Ian Beeho who said: “My cousin, George Williams, and I think the lady in the middle was our Granny Beeho.”

Thank you also goes to to Jonathan Griffin who said: This week we are outside the ‘Fox and Badger’ at Wellow.

“I’m guessing that we are in the thirties as the coach is on pneumatic tyres and there’s what looks to be a Union Flag hanging below the ‘Trow’ on the ‘Ushers Fine Trowbridge Ales’ sign, signifying a possible coronation, (there were two in that decade).

“Then, as now, your man in the hat seems preoccupied with his mobile proving that very little changes over time.”

Thank you to Eric Brain who wrote: “This week’s picture is, I think, taken outside of the now Fox & Badger public house in Wellow, formerly called “The New Inn”.

“In the picture one can just see “the Ne…” of the inn sign partly obscured by the rear of the charabanc. I would say it was taken in the mid to late 1930s, but what the occasion was, maybe only some born and bred Wellownian can enlighten us.

“Perhaps the buttonholes and what looks like an union jack under the “Trow..” of Trowbridge above the bus give a clue?? Coronation trip to see the decorations in Bath?”

Many thanks to Linda Chant for sending in this week’s Mystery Photograph. Can anyone guess where it was taken and what the occasion was? Please email: [email protected] or call: 01761 258030.
