Radstock Foodies Club is a local initiative which encourages people to eat healthily with easily-accessible, low-priced produce.

If you are struggling to access healthy food, and you live within fifteen minutes travel from Radstock Community Hub at the library, you may be able to apply to become a member. The project is run in collaboration with Radstock Town Council. Rob Wicke, manager at Radstock & Westfield Big Local CIC, said; “Our vision is for an inclusive club. We’re trying to reduce the stigma around asking for help.”

“We’ve been involved since the Summer, but it started in lockdown. We stepped up to help out after an organisation unfortunately had to pull out”.

Big Local is a resident-led programme which is based on the needs of one-hundred-and-fifty local areas in England. Radstock and Westfield Big Local use funds to help organisations deliver new, innovative projects that meet the needs of the community.

Continuing, Rob said, “We would like to shout out the volunteers who are there every Friday, helping people and talking. It’s amazing how many people in our community are willing to help and give up their time for others”.
