On 20th April, local parents of Magic Box brought farming to life for children and staff of this Wellow based pre-school. The garden and car park were transformed into a farmyard for the afternoon, with a tractor and pens of sheep, lambs, chickens and rabbits.

The visit brought much excitement for the twenty children, and gave staff the opportunity to bring to life the spring term’s topic of ‘rural life and farming’.

Pre-school Manager, Amanda Rogers, commented: “This was a fantastic opportunity to explain more about farming, and also gave our children the chance to meet and touch animals they may not see every day. We are very grateful to Wellow Trekking Centre for all their hard work.”

Parent, Henrietta Atkins, added: “This visit is just one of the many inspiring and creative activities at Magic Box, which is what makes it so very special. My daughter loved it and carefully carried home the hen’s egg she was given!”
