It has been an egg-citing Easter for everyone connected with Welton Baptist Church. The first ever ‘N’fest Easter Egg Hunt’ was enjoyed by over 100 primary school age youngsters, plus parents and carers who joined in with the fun and games, and of course plenty of chocolate, too!
Egg decorating was one of the highlights, with icing bags available for everyone to show off their hidden piping talents.
Easter Sunday began early for the those who braved a Sunrise start, together in a field overlooking the town. After a short outdoor service, they were rewarded with the sun making an appearance and bacon butties.
Somervale School, where the church meets, was later packed for a continental breakfast and morning service to celebrate the message of Easter together. The service included two people being baptised and enthusiastically sharing what their faith means to them.
WBC meet every Sunday, mornings at 10.30 a.m. at Somervale School and evenings at the Chapel in Welton. More details can be found at: weltonchurch.org.uk
