While also continuing to teach the new generation of Pianists.

She won First Prize at the Piano House International Piano Competition 2023, and will be playing her debut at Carnegie Hall in New York.

In a statement, Nurry said: “I’m so thrilled to have won this competition, and of course congratulations to everyone who took part. Playing in Carnegie Hall has been a lifelong dream of mine, it is one of the greatest concert halls in the world, and to be able to play there is a real privilege. It is really a pinnacle moment in any musician’s career, to be able to play there. Definitely a pinch me moment!

“I have been performing nationally and internationally since I finished studying last year, in 2022. It has been a rollercoaster, but every moment has been truly enjoyable. I owe a lot to so many people, to my piano professors and schools, who have helped me along the way, to my friends and colleagues and to the audiences for their continual support.

“My future plans are to keep on performing and to spread my mission of giving access to classical piano music to as many people as possible. I would play in Carnegie Hall one day, and a pub down the road the next day. For me, music itself has no boundaries.

“A debut concert in London is in the works and so is a new album. More details for this will soon be announced!”
