Back in 2010, Labour MP Dan Norris stood for the North East Somerset seat during the General Election, and was the official opposition for Conservative candidate Jacob Rees-Mogg.

Despite his defeat at the time, Dan Norris introduced a rather famous face to Midsomer Norton due to his anti-hunt campaigning - something which, as a Chair of the board of trustees at animal welfare charity League Against Cruel Sports, he is still heavily involved in to this day.

Brian May attended a meeting in Keynsham RBL where he voiced his support for Dan Norris, and nursed a baby fox cub rescued by Secret World Wildlife Rescue centre, an animal charity based in Somerset.

Brian May spoke to people on Midsomer Norton's High Street during his visit, which took place on April 24th, 2010. Were you there? Let us know in the comment section if you remember his visit!
