FOLLOWING a summer that saw North East Somerset host more than 190,000 people to 25 events, a range of activities and events are now set to come up as part of the autumn period.
The annual Midsomer Norton Illuminated Carnival will take place this year on November 10, seeking to bring the community together for an evening of spectacle that will include a procession of 30m long light-encrusted carts.
Elsewhere, there will be the Bath Autumn Fayre will bring street food and live entertainment to the city from Friday, October 3, to Sunday, October 5.
There will also be the Bath Oktoberfest, which returns to Royal Victoria Park with live Oompah bands, traditional karaoke and axe-throwing from October 24 to 26.
standout event for the autumn is the Jane Austen Festival 250th celebrations in September which include a Regency wedding ceremony for the winners of Bath & North East Somerset Council’s unique competition.

Heading closer to winter, the Bath Christmas Market returns for its 25th anniversary event from Thursday, November 27, to Sunday, December 14, featuring twinkling chalets, unique gifts and gourmet food and drink.
An estimated 444,000 visitors visited this Christmas market in 2024.

“We want to thank our communities for their patience and support during busy periods as we work to support the fantastic events our area attracts.”
