A Rotakids President’s Party was hosted at the end of the St. John’s Primary School year and the members reviewed their roles and what they had accomplished during the year.

Some of their events included a very successful cake sale at the end of November; a fundraising movie night in December; they participated in the Midsomer Norton & Radstock Rotary Club Christmas Service at St. John’s Church; collected food donations for the Salvation Army in March; attended a Rotary Club speaker’s lunch with a spokesperson from the Children’s Air Ambulance; formed a connection with a Rotakids Club in Zimbabwe by becoming pen pals; and installed bird nesting boxes in the grounds of their school.

Most recently the Rotakids hosted a stall at their school’s fair and sold second-hand books, and the following day joined the Rotary Club stand at the Town Fayre where they enthusiastically sold tombola tickets and competently explained the Water Survival Boxes to those attending the fayre.

It was obviously a busy year for the Rotakids and along the way they raised hundreds of pounds for their chosen charities including Water Survival Boxes.

Well done, Rotakids!
