A small and hard-working group met on Saturday 18 March to plant five trees in the playing field by Ston Easton village hall.
The planting was made possible thanks to a Platinum Jubilee party fundraiser, a generous donation from Maxine McCluskey of The Old Down Public house; advice, free delivery and donated tree stakes by The Nursery in Holt.
The trees were thought to be an appropriate way to Celebrate Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee and help add to the green space in the village.
Organisers sent a big thanks to all those who helped raise the funds and plant the trees.
