A clear blue sky is deceptive when accompanied by a blanket of hard frost. The fairways were not deep but were crisp and even after the night temperature fell to minus two degrees centigrade.

You could be forgiven for thinking the weather was plesant, however the red raw cheeks and frozen fingers revealed a very different story. Ice cold beer at the 19th is not likely to be the smartest option so the coffee shop was particularly busy!
