Newly established community interest company in Timsbury called Blossom and Wren Academy aims to bring young people in rural areas together to work on creative projects that will help them learn new skills and de-stress from school and home life.

Blossom & Wren academy provide subsidised creative fashion and textile workshops, 1:1 tutoring and educational visits for young people aged eleven to eighteen in Midsomer Norton, Radstock and Timsbury.

Zoe Jefferey, director of the company, said, “Creativity is an important aspect of life, it enables you to express yourself in a tangible way and can help you to understand who you are.”

Three workshops have taken place so far, focusing on textile printing and pattern cutting. Another one-off Christmas stocking workshop was held on Saturday, 10th December. The next workshop will be sewing in January 2023.
