Shocking new figures, released on 22nd September by the Progressive Economy Forum, show that the poorest households in Britain will be left paying almost half (47%) their disposable income in energy costs this year despite the government’s £150billion Energy Price Guarantee.

With the support of the Midsomer Norton Community Trust and B&NES 3SG, local Energy Experts BJP Consulting are staging a series of free community energy saving presentations.

Jonathan Cooper – Director at BJP Consulting said: “There are simple ways people can make huge savings of around £750 each year, without spending loads of money. We will even show how you can save £40 a year just in making your cup of tea.”

The presentations are aimed to demystify and explain jargon like “Energy Price Cap”, break some common myths and to demonstrate simple ways of saving lots of energy and money.

The presentations will be held at the Midsomer Norton Methodist Church on 13th and 20th October, starting at 7pm.
