On 22nd July, Tasha Dix, and her team of volunteers, held a charity fun day in Temple Cloud and a fancy-dress walk, to raise money for the Wallace and Gromit Grand Appeal, supporting the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children.

Speaking about the day, Tasha said: “Although the weather was not on our side, we managed to raise an incredible £3,697.39, which we are overwhelmed with.

“We could not have done this without our sponsors this year – Ken Biggs Contractors, R&A Fibreglass, Young Roofing, A2B Printing Solutions, and Paul Gunstone Mechanical.

“We cannot thank you enough, along with all the team who attended the sponsored walk, the stall traders, and of course, the public.

She added: “This is only our second year of fundraising, and we are just £91 away from £8,000, so next year we are hoping to reach the £10,000 mark and hope that you can all support us again.”

Tasha and her family and friends have been fundraising for the hospital to thank them for the care her nephew, Morgan, received after contracting meningitis as a baby. Readers can also follow the Facebook page: Temple Cloud Charity Fun Day.
