New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Bath and North East Somerset’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them both.

Chew Kitchen, at Acacia House, Bell Lane, Chew Stoke, Bristol was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on January 4.

And Medicrest Healthcare (Bath Clinic), at The Bath Clinic, Claverton Down Road, Claverton Down, Bath was also given a score of five on December 16.

It means that of Bath and North East Somerset's 366 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 223 (61%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
