Timsbury resident, Norah Latchem, celebrated her 100th birthday in style on Friday, 14th June at the Laurels Nursing Home, in Timsbury. Norah, who has spent her whole life in Timsbury, was surrounded by friends, family and well-wishers at her party on Friday, 14th June, with entertainment provided by Timsbury Ladies Choir, of which Norah was a founding member. Aside from helping with the choir, Norah also spent time working for the MOD in Bath and was actively associated with St Mary's Church, in Timsbury. She has been at the Laurels Nursing Home since June 2011, with her nephew, Paul, being one of her main careers. Norah and her guests had an enjoyable afternoon listening to the choir and reading her royal birthday card from the Queen.
