People living in Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire are being encouraged to take part in an upcoming virtual meeting that will shine a light on changes that have occurred in the local NHS over the last twelve months.

Hosted by the new Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire Clinical Commissioning Group, the annual general meeting on Thursday, 10th September between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. will offer a retrospective look at the final year of the three former organisations that took part in the recent merger.

Members of the public are being invited to participate in the meeting, which will also feature a question and answer session, by registering for a place online.

The meeting will feature contributions from members of the CCG’s executive team, including Dr Andrew Girdher, Clinical Chair, and Tracey Cox, Chief Executive.

Speaking at the announcement of the AGM last month, Tracey Cox said: “This retrospective look back on the three former CCGs of Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire is a chance to celebrate our achievements, but also acknowledge the challenges that occurred throughout 2019 and the early part of 2020.

“It is also a chance for our public to put their questions to us directly and, while we know many questions will relate to the impact coronavirus has had on local healthcare, we hope our answers will be able to provide some context and reassurance.”

As well as showcasing the former organisations’ financial performance, the AGM will also look at how local healthcare has been affected by Covid-19 and how services in the region will adapt to this ongoing challenge over the coming year.
