Midsomer Norton’s Street Pastor scheme, which has been running in the town for the past five years, is appealing for volunteers to join them.

The role is to walk the streets and listen, help and care for those on a night out who may need extra support – work that has been appreciated by the police, street marshalls and door staff in the town.

Anyone interested is warmly invited to come out on a shift on a Saturday evening from 10 p.m. – 3 a.m., with three Street Pastors going out at any one time. The Street Pastors are also backed up by Prayer Pastors, two at a time, meeting at the base. If you are interested, why not give it a try?
