Peasedown St John’s new community centre, The Hive, is holding an Open Morning next week in a drive to sign up more volunteers.

Lucy Day, Hive Centre Manager, said: “We couldn’t do what we do without our wonderful volunteers. From picking up the phone to welcoming visitors as they enter the building, our volunteers go above and beyond! This new year we are launching a range of new initiatives that we need volunteers to help manage. If you would like to help, please pop along to our Volunteer Drop-In Morning or contact us directly at the Hive.”

Projects soon to start at The Hive are: The Community Fridge – providing free produce to those in need and The Saturday Morning Honey Pot Snack Bar. The Hive are also looking for new volunteers to help at Reception and to join the Maintenance Team. The Volunteer Drop-In Morning will be held on Saturday, 29th January, 10 am – 12 noon.
