Midsomer Norton and Radstock Inner Wheel members and friends recently celebrated their 60th Charter Night in style with a dinner/dance at the Swan Hotel, Wells.

An outstanding celebration cake had been made by Sarah Jane of Minky Kitten Cakes, and adding further fun to the evening was DJ, Glyn Davis, with his music and outlandish balloon modelling. Another highlight was the speech given by criminal defence lawyer, John Killah, about his casework and changes to law and order over the last thirty years.

Lynne Evans had also been with members at their monthly meeting earlier in the week, when she outlined her plans for the year, and gave an interesting resumé of her life and sport of archery – which culminated in her competing at the Munich Olympics and officially attending others in Atlanta, Sydney, Athens and Beijing, before becoming part of the bid team for the London 2012 Olympics.
