Farrington Park ladies contested for the Foxy Lady Trophy on Thursday, 29th April played as a qualifying Stableford.

Five birdies were scored at the par three holes, the fifth hole yielding one apiece for Margaret Seery, Lena Warren and Pauline Young. Lena added another birdie at the tenth.

Five ladies managed to score the required 37 points or more. Lin Papadopoullos played to her par, scoring 37 points for fifth place. Kay Clarke continued her good form of late, taking third place on countback from Jackie Hobbs after both finished with 38 points.

The Foxy Lady winner also had to be decided on countback as the top scorers, Jacqui Gregory and Sandra Hares, had 41 points each. Both had scored twenty points on the front nine and 21 points coming back, so countback was employed again on the back six. This proved to be the decider, as Jacqui’s birdie at the fifteenth gave her the edge over Sandra by one point and secured the Foxy Lady Trophy for Jacqui. Jane Ball
